Mastering Compound
Bows
James Park
The book that started it all.
Mastering Compound Bows provides an overview of the key
elements of technique for shooting a compound bow, using
a selection of Australia's top archers (including World
Target Champion Clint Freeman) as examples. Equipment
selection and setup is covered, as are major disciplines
of archery and the means to optimize your performance.
From 'Archery Focus' magazine, Volume 7, Number 1, 2003
page 24: 'What I especially like about his book is the
detailed explanation of what constitutes good form and
why this is the basis of great scores. ....... Park focuses
on compound bows being shot with a release aid. If this
is your style of archery and wish to improve, I wholeheartedly
recommend this book". Review by Steve Ross. |

Mastering Archery
Technique Analysis
James Park
Mastering Archery Technique Analysis shows the five views
of an archer shooting that a coach can use to quickly
assess the quality of an archer's technique.
For each of these views, for archer's using either compound
or recurve bows, comments on what to look for, and how
to releate these observations to changes that an archer
might be encouraged to make are given. In addition, three
short video sequences are shown that can be used to supplement
the five static views to assist the archer with shot initiation.
This book has been written to help archers take advantage
of digital photography and modern communicationnetworks
to both better understand their own technique and to provide
a mens of best using knowledgeable coaches located remotely
(for example, over the internet). |

James Park has done it again with the release of his third
book, Mastering Bow Tuning.
Mastering Bow Tuning provides step-by step proceedures
for adjusting both compound and recurve bows for optimum
performance. Standard testing techniques are covered,
together with the tools required.

the archer can then concentrate on the areas that best
